Calling 999 / 112 Emergency Services
Coms provides access to the standard UK emergency services numbers 999 and 112.
Although the UK emergency services operator may already be aware that your call is a VoIP call, please ensure that you state this immediately to the operator upon connection, also giving them your name, your current geographical location and your contact information. Note that emergency services may not be able to assist you unless you provide this information.
Please Note:
As a UK-centric telephony service Coms does not provide access to emergency services numbers in other countries. If you are using a Coms phone in an overseas location then please dial the relevant national emergency services operator using a local telephone line and not your Coms line.
As an Internet-based telephony service your Coms phone will not work if your Internet connection fails, or if you have a power cut. In such an eventuality you should use a normal telephone line (such as the phone socket associated with your ADSL connection), or a mobile phone to contact the UK emergency services operator.
